Every community has its distinct traditions, values and norms. Communities provide a wealth of organized and deep rooted knowledge. This knowledge becomes the property of that particular community and plays an important role in shaping the identity structures of its members.
Certainly a geographic area such as Columbia would be one definition of a community, but if one reflects on the definition of community, it could be expanded to include more then just a physical place.
Before you shoot or think about composition, you need to get an idea of what community is to you and create a visual journal based off of that idea. This can be based on the multiple communities you belong to, a specific community, issues, traditions, values of a community or anything else you may think of. It must be done by the dates on the right.
